The best painter is our Creator

How ever much we like to be able to duplicate nature’s magic colours and forms, we know that at the end of the day, the best painter is our Creator!

Spending time at Ytter Järna in south Stockholm, the biggest Anthroposophical center in Sweden, made me full of impressions of nature, creative architecture and projects. The first evening I came, I was greeted with a spectacular sunset… yes one of those classic sunsets in where the sun goes on for hours.

20160721_212412The interesting part is that the sun soon resurfaced, basically within 2 hours, at 2 am. Enchanted by the constantly shifting colours on so many layers of clouds, knowing that I will never be able to reproduce such a miracleous existence. I guess the only painter that came close to imitating nature’s heaven was Turner.

I saw figures and fun images taking turns showing their glory that un mistakingly only our beloved Creator can take responsibility for. I wish I could come close to painting nature like the big masters, but i have to be thankful for my own preoccupation with Tulips.

Flowers are G’d’s own little creative delights and like the famous artist Georgia O Keeffe once said. “When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it’s your world for the moment. I want to give that world to someone else. Most people in the city rush around so, they have no time to look at a flower. I want them to see it whether they want to or not.

I also love Ralph Waldo Emerson’s saying: “The earth laughs in flowers.”20160720_131811

So what is needed to ask, are we human beings ourselves, able to enjoy and delight in what our Creator gave us? Can we laugh and be thankful for the amazing amount of gifts given to us in life?

That to me is really the main question – to appreciate and be humbly grateful for such an amazing platform of abundance we were and are still given. We must learn to give thanks and take care of our selves each either and Mother Earth.
That is why a visit at an anthroposophical village was so soothing. I also met a new friend there, and we sat down to collaborate and brainstorm on creating a spiral/labyrint at Ytter Järna, I love it. Reminds me of the time when I and Charles Tack built a spiral in Fairfax, Marin county, which later became a labyrint.

Stay tuned for my upcoming Art Show in Sodermalm, Stockholm, at the Abante Gallery.

Many Blessings and Love, Eva Ariela
